Job Description

The successful applicant will assist the Managing Director and Sales Manager in reducing their workload by relieving them of tasks that do not require industry expertise.

This is a multi-faceted role and the successful applicant will be happy to complete a variety of tasks as required.

Full training will be given (although applicants will need some key skills, these listed further down on this page).

In order that a potential applicant can get a feel for the role - tasks will include (but are not restricted to):

Dealing with customers on the phone when particularly busy (simple enquiries following their designation by Director or Manager)
Creating "Quotes" for customers via our online system
Ordering stock (ordering stoves)
Monitoring stock levels (counting the stoves)
Wrapping stoves ready for transit (strength not required but always helps)
Daily visit to local Post Office (walking distance)
Sorting and listing daily invoices
Adding invoices to a spreadsheet and keeping tally of monies-owed
Checking supplier invoices for inaccuracies
Checking stoves retail prices with supplier price lists and updating website/database as required
Paying bills as requested
Unwrapping, checking and listing refunds (generally stove-fitting parts)
Packing small postal items
Dealing with accountant enquiries (generally missing invoices)
Cleaning and lighting the stove/s and keeping refuelled (cooler months only)
Keeping small kitchen clean, and washing up in kitchen daily as required
Hoovering office carpet and tidying office
Keeping holiday records
Walking the company dog if he is at work

“Although this is a very varied role I require that the successful applicant is a person who is quite pedantic about things being correct: a stickler for detail is preferable as this role will require some important checking of facts and figures”. It is also important that the successful applicant is not adverse to a spot of cleaning! As I said - it is a varied role. - Julian Patrick, Managing Director.

Then, in no less than 100 words and no more than 200 words, tell us why you believe you would be good for the role.

Please also include your full address and a suitable contact telephone number. If you would like to include any suitable social media links please feel free.
