WOODSTOVE INSTALLATIONS MADE SIMPLE
WOODSTOVE INSTALLATIONS MADE SIMPLE
Hi and thanks for visiting...
My name is Julian Patrick. I used to be a full-time Hetas- registered stove installer (although now I tend to spend most of my time working in the shop or on the Stovefitter's website).
In North Wales that meant whizzing around in a white Land Rover having adventures. One day we would be at the coast (Conwy, Beaumaris, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and so on), the next the rugged Snowdonia mountains (Betwys-Y-Coed, Llanwrst, Llanberis, Blaenau Ffestniog). Hard work but what a lot of fun, what a lot of adventures. I met some strange people too, especially in the hills ;-)
I like North Wales - it's gritty. It was especially gritty in that winter of 2009/10. Fond memories of some hair raising journeys in the mountains (icy roads, big drops, snow chains and minus 18 degrees). I'm almost starting to yearn for another daft winter.
Julian Patrick, MANAGING DIRECTOR
My name is Julian Patrick (that's me on the left in the "Daily Star" no less), a full-time stove fitter for many years and creator of The Stove Fitter's Manual and Stove Fitter's Warehouse (I also have my Colwyn Bay shop "The Wood Stove Hut").
I live by the coast in North Wales with my wife and our dog (Reg the Lurcher). Outside of work I enjoy reading, writing (still trying to make progress on the unfinished novel), jogging on the beach with the dog, fine wine and more.
Deep inside I'm probably a bit of a prepper, daydreaming of "living like The Waltons" (but with Internet access and an Apple phone and laptop :-). Maybe it is this that has unconsciously led me towards wood stoves. My wife and I have a small cottage in Cornwall and plan to "do it up" over coming years so maybe that's as close as I get to off grid ;-)
I promise that I will never sell you anything that I do not believe to be fit for purpose and I promise that I have personally used or researched everything I do sell (as just one example our stainless steel Duraflue hanging cowls are devoid of external welds following my experience of other manufacturer's cowls failing within 18 months of being fitted due to weld corros
assistant will be reasonably accessible should you need us, via email or phone. If I am on holiday I will advertise this on the site and I am likely not going anywhere between September 1st and December 20th when it's mad busy). I promise that you may return any unused or undamaged item (except chimney liner) within a 28 day period for any reason. Julian
Arran Hands, ASSISTANT MANAGER
My name is Arran, I'm currently living in Llysfaen, North Wales with
my wife Donna.
I have worked within the stove industry for about 7 years, gaining essential product knowledge along with some installation experience. Although a lot of people see a stove as a black box I think they all have a personality!
In our home we have a fantastic little wood burner which is used around the clock - making the house warm and cosy.
In my spare time I enjoy track days on my gorgeous R6 race bike and the goal, one day, is to compete in the Isle of Man TT.When I'm not on the bike my main job and what I most like doing is spending time with my 9 year old daughter; she keeps me young and entertained with her wicked personality and gorgeous smile.
