Aarrow i600 Slimline 5 Wood Burning Stove

I needed a free standing 5kw stove for a hallway so it needed to be a good size to prevent it looking like a little box. The i600 does just that with clean lines that look good and an impressively large viewing glass. The width of the stove with log store below make it look much more than a 5kw stove.... It actually is though, with a massive fire box taking logs up to 480mm long (if you can split that length!), it can put out far more heat than 5kw. Its good looking and pretty well built with a good flame effect. Air control is not as fine as with the very best but is perfectly acceptable. The external air supply (an option) does not fit any of the standard 100mm air tubes but hopefully Arada will source a suitable adapter or change the fitting for future manufacture.

Stovefitters have been really brilliant, lots of helpful advice over the phone and a fantastic website (see the step by step guide to installing your stove yourself). I think their advice gave me the nudge to do it myself saving nearly £1000 on our best quote. The stove is excellent, nice to see a product produced in the UK also. It lights really easily and gives off plenty of heat, don't let 5kw fool you, good dry wood and it will keep even larger rooms warm.
