The Isle of Wight is where this extremely popular stove is manufactured making it an ideal choice for those requiring "Made in Britain". It is rumoured that the Charnwood C4 is the number one selling stove within the United Kingdom. An innovative rear adaptor is available and this is very useful if the stove is to be fitted into a shallow recess. Charnwood request six inches of air gap left and right of the stove and so a narrow recess may not be ideal.
|Collar size inches||5|
|Direct air supply option||Yes|
|Minimum liner size inches||5|
|Recess height minimum (rhm) cm||66|
|Recess width minimum (rwm) cm||68.6|
|rhm if soot door or offset cm||91|
We ordered the Charnwood C4 from stove fitters warehouse. Stove was delivered on time. The C4 is a cracking little stove. Excellent fitting instructions and with the special rear flue adapter makes it the perfect stove for a small opening. Would highly recommend this model to any one looking for a small stove.
First class service from Stove Fitters Warehouse. Attentive helpful communication, good prices and a beautiful stove. A problem with the order (wrong part from a third party) was efficiently dealt with. I need to get the room finished now to relax and enjoy. Highyl recommended.
I bought a Charnwood C4 plus liner and installation kit. Got all the help I needed to fit myself and great service with the one slight problem I had with a little mark on my stove handle. I would recommend to anyone
Ordered the Charnwood C4 from Stovefitters. Fantastic service from start to finish. Very clear process and delivery was seamless. We had an issue with the multi fuel kit not being included in the delivery, but Julian sorted it very quickly, out of office hours, and had one in the post the next day. That's customer service. Love the stove. Thank you
The Charnwood C$ we orderd from stovefitters looks great in our fireplace and seems very good quality. Kicks out lots of heat! Good service from the guys via website and over the phone too. We also got the 316 duraflue liner which looked pretty good quality and is doing its job well so far!
C-Four chosen as we have a small fireplace opening and the rear adapter option helped make an easy installation.
Ordering and delivery all went smoothly, all arriving on the same day.
I especially liked the ability to discuss details about the different options and get expert advice prior to placing my order, this was very helpful.
5" Duraflue liner easy to install, the flue adapter and pot hanger were a doddle to fit. The "bits and bobs" supplied were also very useful.
Installation passed the "building inspector" and we have been using the stove for nearly 2 weeks. All good so far with plenty of heat and we are using far fewer logs than on our old open fire. The only slight downside is that the glass seems to get dirtier than we expected/hoped. But that is only cosmetic.
Would highly recommend using stove fitters, helpful friendly staff and good prices.
Great support from the team at Stovefitters prior to order and we are delighted with the Stove. The C4 looks great and provides a considerable amount of heat!
Julian and his team were very helpful in providing quotes and information. We chose the Charnwood C4 as recommended by our fitter, and we think it is a very attractive stove. We took Julian's advice re: the duraflue liner and hanging cowl so bought that too. Last night we lit the stove for the first time and it was very cosy. Bring on winter! Excellent service and advice.
After following Julian and his team on Stovefitters Manual for two years, I decided to take the plunge and fit my own stove. We chose the Charnwood C4 due to its looks and the size was perfect for the small fireplace opening. The overriding reason was down to a suggestion from Julian because of the restrictions of our fireplace (we also needed the flue adapter). We fitted the stove in a weekend and have fired it up. It looks great and the heat output is more than enough for our semi. I would recommend this stove for a small fireplace opening.
absolutely love the stove- looking forward to the cold weather to use. Fabulous look. we had a small space and this fitted brilliantly. Flue liner pretty easy to drop down. would recommend stove fitters
Order turned up on time from stove fitter website all there no problems.Ordered C4 with flue adapter due to small fireplace and tight chimney opening all fitted a treat.Would definitlely recommend stove fitters.
Great personal service and stove delivered on time. Would be very happy to recommend Stovefitters to others
A great looking top quality British made product. Would not hesitate to recommend in every way.
Because of the smallness of my chimney and fireplace, the C4 with rear flue adaptor was the only viable option. However it does burn very well, and looks very nice, so I am more than happy with it.
I did a great deal of research on all the stoves & finally decided on the Charnwood c-Four . Very early days but no regrets so far ! I was also very fortunate to come across the Stove Fitters Warehouse website as this provided me being someone new to the Wood burner seen so much useful information – absolutely priceless. Having also searched out the best price on this stove on the web , I could not find it cheaper anywhere than here & they also gave me a free £150 Flue liner Voucher that more or less paid for my complete liner kit – absolute no brainer ! The staff are also incredibly helpful & efficient , everything arrived on the day I had booked & all well packaged - I would definitely recommend
So pleased I found this website. Ordered my stove and liner and it arrived the next day. Julian and the team were on hand to answer any of my queries and my wood burning stove and new chimney liner are already in and my house is nice and cosy ready for winter.
I ordered this stove basically due to its looks. The stove is a nice quality and more importantly it is easy for my wife to light and keep going. This is aided by the one lever controlling the airflow into the stove. It really does produce a lot of heat and so far appears to be efficient. The liner is also well made and much easier to install and cut than I imagined. I used to tinsnips which were easy to use whilst I was perched on the roof. In fact we are so pleased with the burner and the difference it has made, I am just about to order another, which will hopefully be coming from the stove fitters warehouse.
