ABOUT THE FLAVEL No. 1 Gas Stove
Gas fires have, over the years, developed to show a very realistic fire and the Flavel No. 1 gas stove is a perfect example. The log fuel bed is certainly realistic and the flame is fully controllable using the remote control.
The Flavel gas stove can be installed into a standard brick chimney or, if no chimney is present, can be fitted with a simple "through the wall" balanced flue.
The stove body is 5mm steel and the door is cast iron - a combination used by the most desirable wood stoves.
The advantage over a solid fuel stove is "instant heat" and no need to chop or store logs.
Optional extras include a coal effect (rather than log effect) bed (conventional flue only), an 830mm flue extension (balanced flue only) and a decorative 30cm flue pipe and flue collar.
The Flavel No. stove has an excellent efficiency of 84.2% and is rated energy Class D. Direct heat output is 4.2kW for the conventional flue and 3.4kW for the balanced flue.
