FITTING PACK: 4" to 5" with 500mm black pipe

The Stovefitter's Fitting Pack

Fitting packs contain a chimney cowl PLUS everything you need to get from your stove (A) to your flue liner (B) with the exception of your closure plate (*). For a closure plate we recommend a sheet of Hardibacker 12mm board (available at many good DIY stores.

• 5" 500mm black (vitreous) pipe
• 4" to 5" adaptor (fits to the stove collar)
• Snub nose adaptor (connects liner to black pipe)
• Pot hanging cowl (connects liner to chimney pot)
• Data plate (informational, a requirement of building regulations)
• 9" square sealing plate (to cosmetically seal vitreous pipe to closure plate)
• Nose cone (to drag liner down chimney)
• Fire cement (sealing joins and fire brick cracks)
• Useful items (a magic pack of goodies to help in all manner of ways, scroll further down for specifics)

        Choose between two cowls:

Standard: All round mid-weight stainless steel cowl. Excellent price point (cowl retails at £79)

Duraflue: "Fit and Forget" Premium: Excellent heavy-weight 316 grade stainless steel cowl with a 15-year guarantee. No external spot welds (nuts and bolts). Our cowl of choice (retails at £99)

        Useful items kit:

        • 4x long screws with six-sided head: used to attach adaptor-sealing-plate-combi (9” square) to your chimney closure plate (drill 4 pilot holes in closure plate first)
        • Magnetic nut-setter x1: for long screws above
        • 10x small self tappers: used to strengthen the joint between two pieces of vitreous pipe (two per joint, one either side of pipe) and to secure the liner to the adaptor-sealing-plate-combi
        • 1x high-strength drill bit 3mm for pilot holes
        • 1m length fireproof sticky-back webbing: Can be used on stub nose adaptor where it goes into vitreous pipe (makes it a tight rather than loose fit, two thicknesses may be required). Webbing can also be used where bottom end of vitreous enters stove (depends on stove whether it is required or desired). You can use instead of fire cement if a snug fit.

          DG Ivar 5 and FP1 500mm 5” pipe & 904 silvacore liner

Delivered quickly, all kit supplied that was requested. Delivery company couldn’t deliver initially as they had not specifically stated that someone had to be in to sign for delivery and stovefitters kindly organised re delivery at their own cost although this was no fault of their own.
Slightly squashed end of duraflue but the sales team were very good at answering my questions concerning whether this would effect the function. Made the cowl difficult to get on though. Self fitted thanks to the manual. Wouldn’t say they were brilliant - mainly because all the information on the guide is - and the delivery was prompt and everything worked excellenty so I didn’t need to speak to them much !!
          Would recommend.

Ordered stove and liner with FP1 fitting kit, spoke to a few members of staff and all were very helpful and knowledgable,I ordered all the kit through the stove fitters warehouse, everything turned up on time and was really impressed with the quality of the materials supplied.
Being an ex gas safe registered engineer I decided to fit stove and liner myself with the help of all the valuable information on the stovefitters website, the fitting of stove and liner is well within the capabilities of any average diy'er with all the info available.im thinking of fitting a second stove and would definitely use the stove fitters warehouse/ manual again.
I didn't experience any problems with my local council (Pembrokeshire) in relation to building controls, they were really helpful.
          Thanks again to all staff,
You'll probably hear from me again when I order second stove
